Finding The Best Airline Fee Comparison Site PDF Print E-mail
Written by By: RSIExpert

While, in the “good old days”, booking a flight was as simple as 1-2-3, today, thanks to the sheer number of airlines and the myriad of additional fees, added on to the base cost of any airline ticket, getting the best deal, while still factoring in schedules, location and, of course, safety can be quite a project. It is obvious that those “good old days” are, indeed, gone for good and as we enter a new era, we will need to learn to wrap our heads around the fact that the new business model for the airlines is to unabashedly try to make even more money off the average traveler.

Unfortunately, while we cannot control these fees and the ever mounting costs associated with them, we can certainly arm ourselves with knowledge, which, hopefully, will help us make the best choices, while, at the same time, trying to keep the costs of our airfare down as much as possible, considering the situation.

As consumers and travelers, the smart thing to do is to find an unbiased and reliable website that will clearly lay out, for each airline all the possible “hidden” fees that can crop up, above and beyond the base cost of the airfare. However, you also need to beware! Not every airline fee comparison website is created equally – in fact, some can offer flagrant and obvious incorrect or outdated information, so make sure that you find a reliable site that consciously upkeeps their site and keeps the information fresh and current. You should also look for a site that lists many of the major airlines, along with some lesser known ones. Ideally, you will also want to look for a site that lists International airlines as well as domestic ones – not everyone is travelling strictly within the US.

The website should also be user friendly and easy to browse, you should not have to keep moving between screens to get an overall comparison view of the basic fee structures - you are looking for something helpful and informative “at a glance”. Once you find what you need, you can get more detailed information by simply clicking on the various links.
Spend some time doing research, in the end, you will be happy that you did.

ACTOR Robert Culp, who starred in the groundbreaking 1960s television series "I Spy" with Bill Cosby, died Wednesday morning after a fall near his home in LA, officials said.
A jogger yesterday morning found the 79-year-old actor unconscious on the street outside his Hollywood home, where it appeared he been taking a walk.

He was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later. An autopsy was set to be performed tomorrow.

Culp became famous for sharing top billing in the 1965-68 series "I Spy," with Cosby, the first African American actor to star in a TV drama.
