The islands of Fiji have two personalities.  Islands in northern Fiji consist of rugged rainforest edged by sandy beaches and clear water.  Their interiors provide opportunities for walking, hiking, and even white water rafting or kayaking if you truly want to take your life into your hands.  Fiji's northern beauty is also appreciable from cruises around the islands.  These might be the best deal for the cost-conscious consumers; even though their prices can be quite high, all meals and activities are included, so the expenses won't add up too rapidly.

If exploring on foot is more your style, you can hire a 4 wheel drive vehicle or join in on a tour group around some of the islands.  You'll hike to some of the world's most beautiful waterfalls while keeping your eye out for some of Fiji's totally unique flora and fauna.  Mountain biking and kayaking are just two of the fun activities you'll be able to do in addition to hiking and driving around the islands.  And don't miss out on your time in the water.  Snorkelling and diving are both great leisure activities that can really add something to your beach honeymoon.
Fiji has its fair share of cultural experiences, too.  You can watch a traditional kava ceremony, for example, and visit authentic Fijian villages.  Fiji has a violent and interesting history with long traditions of tribal warfare and even cannibalism.  Their culture is certainly a touch off the beaten track, but you will struggle to find something similar anywhere else!  I know I'd love to visit a few traditional villages; many tour companies can arrange for you to take part in some of the ceremonies.
